What size school bag for a 4 year old?

The measurements, and why A4 sets them
A4 is 29.7 cm by 21 cm. Allow for a folder's covers plus the bag's own seams and lining and you want at least about 31 cm of internal height and 23 cm of width. Around 32 by 25 cm is comfortable, with roughly 12 cm of depth so a lunch box sits beside the folder rather than on top of it.

How much a 4 year old should carry
